Doubledays Add Third Left-Handed Pitcher for the 2023 Season

The Auburn Doubledays continue to build their roster for the upcoming 2023 season. The Doubledays are excited to welcome Tommy Roldan - a Poolesville, Maryland native committed to playing at ACC Virginia University - for their upcoming season. Tommy will add a third left-handed pitcher to the lineup, and he will also see some playing time in the outfield at Falcon Park this summer. Roldan has a few pitches in his arsenal: a fastball with 90’s life and a wipeout slider that will cause a lot of fits to opposing batters. For Roldan, he’s looking forward to the cool evenings under the lights at Falcon Park.

“I’m excited to play summer baseball in nicer weather. I’ve played in hot Atlanta, North Carolina, Florida, Alabama, and many others. To say the weather got old would be an understatement.” Roldan continued, “Getting ready to face college-level pitching, I expect to prove myself.

The confidence is mirrored very similarly to another power-hitting bat, Bryce Harper, who Roldan looks up to and emulates while in the batter’s box. Roldan will fit right into the meat of the order for the Doubledays and provide some thump from the left side.

The Doubledays 2023 season kicks off on Saturday, June 3rd, with a huge post-game firework show presented by CSEA. You won’t want to miss a minute of the action, so make sure your purchase your season tickets now by visiting www.AuburnDoubledays.com for more information.
